Artful Flavors from Italy
Hi There! Today, I disclose one of my favorite gelato places in London. Bilmonte, a gelato haven nestled in the vibrant streets of Soho. You won’t find flavors this divine and artisanal mastery anywhere else!
Ambiance: Well, it’s pretty simple. It’s like they wrapped the place up in some paper not even from Liberty. They don’t even show off their glorious gelato creations like Amorino does. Instead, they’ve got this little menu on a wall where you pick your flavors. Bit unusual for a gelato place. And the seating—small and can’t say it’s comfortable. But don’t leave this page yet, there’s a reason why I’m smitten with this place.
Gelato Creations:
Let’s get down to the gelato business now. Bilmonte is renowned for its artisanal approach to gelato, using only the finest ingredients and traditional Italian techniques to create luscious and creamy delights. So, their menu focuses more on timeless classics.
I typically opt for a medium size to enjoy two flavors, but many people go all out with the large size too. Just keep in mind, the portions are pretty generous, so be prepared for a gelato extravaganza!
If you’re feeling a wave of nostalgia, Bilmonte’s classic flavors are a must-try. Dark Chocolate—it’s a bittersweet symphony made with premium cocoa. And their Pistachio flavor is like a little trip to the streets of Sicily, with that nutty goodness that makes you say, “Mama mia!” . Or you can be adventurous and go for Double Pistachio. Why settle for just one delight when you can have double the fun?
For those seeking for their signature creations, try one of my personal favourites — called Bilmonte, just like the place itself. It’s like Nutella got a fancy upgrade with a nutty twist. Also I recommend Hazelnut flavor. It’s like taking a bite of roasted hazelnut heaven. Pure buttery bliss.
I know sometimes you want something a bit lighter than gelato. Well, Bilmonte has got your back with their refreshing sorbet options. Their Mandarin sorbet is a juicy explosion. It’s like having a bite of a freshly picked mandarin straight from the tree. Now, I’m usually not one for fruity stuff, but these sorbets are the real deal. You can actually taste the genuine fruit flavors and not just a sugar overload.
Last but not least, here’s a little secret you don’t want to miss out—ask for a small corn on top of your gelato. The milky chocolate and the corn come together in the most unexpectedly delicious way. It is a surprise twist that somehow works like magic with any flavor you choose.
Conclusion:
Bilmonte in Soho is a gelato paradise that will transport you to an Italian indulgence. Especially you’re a fan of classic flavors, their artisanal gelato creations will leave you craving more. I recommend you to do the same as me, dine in Soho area, and treat yourself to at least two scoops (or three!) of the finest gelato at Bilmonte—before you go home. Oh, and fair warning, you will have to wait around 10 minutes or so, but you know what they say, sometimes you have to give up a little time to savor the absolute best.
