Girls’ Night Done Right (Almost)
I went to YOPO for a girls’ night with my two favourite partners-in-crime, and I’ll admit — I arrived in a flustered rush, heart racing and hair doing its own thing after making my friend wait. But the moment I stepped inside, all of that melted away. The staff were effortlessly charming, my friend was graciously calm, and our evening quickly turned into the kind of proper London night you always hope for — a little fancy, a little chaotic, and a lot of fun.
The place just oozes atmosphere. You can’t help but feel smug about your life choices the second you sit down.
Atmosphere:
Dark, moody, and downright stunning in that “does everyone here work in fashion?” kind of way. Think low lighting, sculptural art pieces, velvet sofas, and that subtle hum of conversation that makes you want to order champagne before your coat’s even off.
It’s the ideal spot for birthdays, date nights, or a girls’ (or boys’) dinner when you’re in the mood to feel a bit glam — and maybe stage a few photos under the flattering golden glow.

Service:
Service was impeccable from start to finish — the perfect blend of polished and personable. Every member of staff we spoke to was warm, professional, and genuinely lovely. Very modern luxury hotel energy — attentive without being overbearing.
The only hiccup? Our starter arrived after the mains, which had us laughing more than complaining. They apologised and handled it with such charm that it became one of those little stories you’ll never forget. (To be fair, I think they realised it was too pretty a dish to bin.)
I do mind, but also I know that YOPO isn’t really the kind of place you go for a meticulously sequenced tasting menu anyway. It’s more about soaking up the vibe, sipping great cocktails, and letting the food play supporting role to the scene.
Drinks:
Cocktails were a big yes. The menu’s clever without being pretentious, full of interesting twists and elegant presentation — and, crucially, none of that cloying sweetness you get in lesser bars.
It’s the kind of place where a “quick drink after dinner” can very easily turn into three rounds and a spontaneous plan to move in.
Price: £££
Definitely not cheap, but it’s not the kind of place you leave feeling robbed either. You’re paying for the vibe, the service, and the gorgeous setting — and honestly, that’s half the fun.
What I Orderd:
Padrón Peppers & Huancaína
They were fine — but let’s be honest, it’s a simple dish, isn’t it? Hard to go too wrong or too right with this one

Parmesan Tapioca
The texture was weirdly addictive — chewy, salty, and satisfyingly cheesy. Like a posh bar snack you could nibbling with the nice cocktails.
Josper-grilled Sirloin & Chimichurri

Yes, I still can’t believe it came out first. But flavour-wise, the sauce was great — bright, punchy, and gave me the same vibe of wagyu-meets-ponzu kind of magic. The steak itself was a touch on the chewy side, but perfectly pink in the middle.
Aubergine, Sesame & Soy

TFar too salty to finish, which was a shame.
Corn Cake, Chamomile & Condensed Milk Ice Cream
The ice cream was lovely — soft, delicate, and beautifully done — but the corn cake was so tiny it almost felt like a garnish. Blink and you’d miss it. I did noyt even take a picture of the small poor thing!
Tres Leches Cake with White Chocolate & Clementine
Not the traditional version, but light, creamy, and sweet — basically everything I want a dessert to be. So accept this one.
Smoked Dark Chocolate Mousse, Mango & Chilli
I’m sorry, but no. Bitter, strange, and not remotely sweet — it felt like one of those “wellness desserts” made for people who insist they don’t like sugar (we know the type).
Conclusion:
So yes — YOPO is beautiful, the cocktails are fabulous, and the service is genuinely premium economy class (polished, comfortable, and with a smile). The food, though, could really chill out on the salt and rediscover its sweet side.
Still, I’d absolutely go back — and in fact, I did, when they were hosting parties during Frieze Week — see? the vibe alone makes it worth it. It’s one of those places that reminds you exactly why you love London: buzzy, stylish, a little unpredictable, and somehow always managing to make you feel like you’re right where you’re meant to be.

Dress code? Officially none — but are you sure you want to show up in front of all those fashionistas in your current outfit? If you’re confident, go for it. Otherwise… maybe give the mirror one more glance before you leave.
