HANAKO RECOMMENDED

Absolutely smitten with Chelsea. You know why? The locals here have a nose for sniffing out the finest pubs and Sunday Roasts in town.

I love the gustro pubs and I had another lovely Sunday Roast at The Goat Chelsea.

It’s the kind of place where you’d want to revel in a few libations on a Saturday evening, immersing yourself in the lively vibes, and then return the next day for that divine roast before succumbing to a blissful Sunday slumber. Trust me, it’s the epitome of London living, and you won’t want to miss out.

Ambiance:
Probably because I popped in during the day, I just felt a bit quiet vibe. Like, where was the Chelsea buzz? And those fake pink flowers in the middle of the pub, oh men, a British decor trend or something? But despite all that, the dining experience was actually pretty nice.

Service:
Nothing short of impeccable. There was this young boy serving me. His manners were as gentle and polite as can be. It honestly warmed my heart. Every interaction felt so genuine and gracious.

Drinks:
No visit to The Goat would be complete without diving into their expertly curated drinks menu. They’ve got everything from craft cocktails crafted with serious precision and flair to a wine list.

It’s pretty impressive, actually, getting such good quality for the price, especially considering they’re in Chelsea.

A triumph of flavor and texture. The succulent sirloin, aged to perfection, had this amazing rich, robust flavor that just melted in your mouth.

And that gravy? It was like velvet, made from scratch using those pan drippings, adding this whole other level of depth and intensity to every bite. Totally next-level stuff!

A delightful twist on a classic favorite, offering a burst of flavor and satisfying textures, hitting all the right notes for even the pickiest eaters (yep, that’s me). The sausages? Absolute perfection. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside – you wouldn’t even know they’re vegan!

But let me tell you, what really stole the show were the accompaniments. That gravy? Rich, velvety, with just the right hint of black pepper – talk about a flavor bomb! And the apple and cranberry sauce – OMG, pure yumminess right there. They totally nailed that refreshing contrast.

And can we talk about those baked potatoes? I mean, seriously, some of the best I’ve ever had. Crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside – the perfect balance to all those hearty flavors.

The atmosphere was a bit quiet, but the Goat Chelsea is the ultimate dining hotspot, hitting all the right notes for me with its chic ambiance, attentive service, and mouthwatering cuisine.
