A Cantina That Feeds the Soul (and Your Taco Obsession)
There are no such things I love more than bringing my foodie friends together for a good meal — and my September Dinner Table was another great one. This time, I picked 1910 Parsons Green, a cute little Mexican gem tucked in West London.
From my very first contact of booking a big table, everything was smooth and easy — the kind of friendly, no-fuss communication that instantly makes you feel taken care of. By the time we arrived, our table was perfectly set, and the staff were ready though I wish I could have more warm smiles from them!
Atmosphere:
The interior is absolutely adorable — cozy, with soft, warm lighting and pops of colour that make it feel both laid-back and chic. There’s a rustic touch that gives it that unmistakable West London charm. The bar area, in contrast, has a cooler, moodier vibe — perfect for date night drinks or a relaxed evening catch-up with friends.
And oh, their terrace! It’s the kind of spot that you can imagine having margaritas and tacos under the sun. They’ve even got a lovely brunch menu, full of eggy delights.

Service:
Even with our big group, the team managed everything effortlessly. They weren’t overly attentive but they were always there right when we needed them. Everything just flowed naturally.
Drinks:
They do not play around with cocktails here. Their Mexican-inspired cocktails hit all the right notes — smoky, tangy, and just strong enough to make me grin after the first sip. If you’re into tequila or mezcal (and honestly, who isn’t?), this is your playground.
Price: ££
Honestly? A total win.
The portions are generous, the flavours bold, and for a Parsons Green spot, the prices are surprisingly friendly. You can taste the quality in every bite — nothing feels mass-produced or overdone.
What I Ordered:
GUACAMOLE

Fresh, chunky, and perfectly zesty — the kind of guac that’s gone before the second cocktail lands.
*CARNE ASADA TACOS

Grilled flank steak served on a bed of chipotle mash with mint, jalapeño mayo, avocado, and fresh coriander. The steak was beautifully tender and juicy — perfectly paired with the creamy avocado and subtle spice from the mayo. Honestly, it could stand alone as a great steak dish, but wrapped in a fresh tortilla? Pure magic.
It’s one of those bites that makes you stop mid-conversation and say, “Okay… this is really good.”
BAJA PESCADO TACOS

Lightly battered fish with lettuce, chipotle mayo, red cabbage, and a squeeze of lime. Slightly oily, yes, but in that comforting, satisfying way. The tortillas were freshly made — and you can taste the real corn. It gave me flashbacks to my first proper taco in Mexico.
TINGA QUESADILLA

Shredded chicken simmered in a rich tomato and chipotle sauce, wrapped up with just the right amount of melted cheese. The flavours were smoky, comforting, and deeply satisfying.
FLAUTAS DE PAPA

A family recipe from Chef Mauricio, and it tasted like love for sure. Rolled tortillas stuffed with chipotle mash and fried until crisp, served on refried beans. Sweet, savoury, comforting — like a hug from someone’s abuela.
CHURROS

Perfectly fried, crisp on the outside, soft inside. They had a slightly sour note I wasn’t expecting — not my personal favourite since I’ve got a sweet tooth — but I can appreciate they stuck to the traditional style.
Conclusion:
1910 Parsons Green completely charmed me — from the cozy interiors to the authentic flavours and easy-going service. It’s got that West London polish but with the heart of a true Mexican kitchen.
If you’re after something genuine, a little bit chic, and full of flavour, this is your place.
